Designer's note:

"Here's our revolutionary hybrid acoustic-electric all dressed up in formal attire. There are so many exciting guitars/customshop touches on this guitar I hardly know where to begin. Aside from the gorgeous brazilian rosewood peghead face and matching fingerboard, the bridge was fashioned from the same beautiful board. We inlaid mother of pearl around the edge, and used a fossilized ivory saddle. From one end to the other this guitar is full of surprises that will delight its owner for a lifetime."

Here's a view of the pearl-bound body with its deliciously sculpted cedar top. The mahogany neck is capped with brazilian rosewood and outlined with hundreds of pearl pieces, each cut and placed by hand.
Ivoroid binding is hand cut and fitted in each f-hole, and matches the fossilized ivory bridge saddle.
     




Seymour wound guitars/customshop pickups for this guitar and then engraved the gold covers with the guitar's serial number!
The striking Brazilian rosewood bridge is outlined with genuine mother of pearl and works perfectly with the color of the top. We used an aged cedar top with an extremely tight grain to give this guitar a unique look and sound. We wanted to add phase reversal capability, but I thought that the top was busy enough without another control. The solution was to make the tone control a push-push switch—very stealthy!


 


 
The peghead defies adequate description with its mix of rich brazilian rosewood, fossilized ivory, mother of pearl and gold.
