The New Talladega, Seymour Duncan Collaboration, 2007 USA and XT Series Catalogs, New XT Series Models

The 2007 NAMM Show in Anaheim California was the site for the unveiling of the new Hamer Talladega. Jol Dantzig and the craftsman at the New Hartford Custom Shop designed a guitar that breaks the rules and rewrites the record books on tone. The 25.5” scale maple neck and rosewood fingerboard provide articulate highs, while the chambered mahogany body with “string through” sustain block bridge deliver endless sustlain. The figured maple top is hand-carved and bound with Italian ivoroid. Custom-designed single coil pickups were created specifically for this guitar by Seymour Duncan and Jol Dantzig. Ergonomic controls for volume, tone contour and a four-speed selector switch let you dial up exactly what you need. For more specifications and details, visit the Talladega Product Page.



Achieving the desired tone for the new Hamer USA Talladega required the pairing of Hamer Guru Jol Dantzig and the legendary Seymour Duncan. The task of creating a vintage style pickup with just the right snap and twang could not have been in better hands. The 2007 NAMM show also saw the debut of 2 new Hamer catalogs. The USA catalog has been compared to a coffee table book, with drippy glamour shots and commentary by Jol Dantzig. Our Hamer XT Series is expanding with new Sunburst and Californian models for 2007 to give more options for those wanting their first Hamer guitar. The stunning Sunburst P-90 Series is now available with a flame maple top in a beautiful Honeyburst finish (SATFP90). We've also added a Wilkinson Tremolo and new Dark Cherry Burst finish to the Flametop Series (SATFW). The new CAL-BK utlizes 2 EMG-H4 humbucking pickups and a Floyd Rose type tremolo. All Californian models now come standard with a Rosewood fingerboard. Lastly, we've introduced the CX3T model with a Fulcrum Tremolo and 5-way selector switch.
