Hamer Makes Building An American Legend DVD Available

For over 30 years Hamer has been crafting hand-made guitars for the biggest artists in the music business. In addition they have created a market category.
In celebration of their 30th anniversary, Hamer has collaborated with Hollywood to create a documentary on the company and its unique contribution to the history of American guitars.
The 30-minute piece, titled; Hamer, Building an American Legend, was the brainchild of producer Mike Brady, who has made films about Nike, Kodak and Mercedes Benz. Brady felt that Hamers pivotal role in guitar history was tailor-made for a documentary-style film.
The film features interviews with industry experts, musicians and journalists, as well as with company founders Jol Dantzig and Frank Untermyer. Archival photos and current footage is used to put Hamer's remarkable history into perspective. Negotiations for distribution are currently in progress.
A specially edited version of Hamer, Building an American Legend is being made available on DVD to selected Hamer Dealers and customers.
